Matt Murdock

Daredevil, Seasons 1–3 (2015–2018) Matt Murdock, blinded as a child by a chemical spill that hyper-enhanced his remaining senses, is a Catholic defence lawyer by day and a vigilante by night. Why these matter now: Daredevil: Born Again is a direct continuation, its second season crosses over with Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock is confirmed for Avengers: Doomsday.

The Defenders (series, 2017) is where Jessica Jones first meets Matt Murdock — she, Matt, Luke Cage, and Danny Rand team up against the Hand, and she is memorably unimpressed by all three of them. She returns as Matt's ally in Born Again Season 2. Elektra, resurrected as their Black Sky, is their weapon, and Matt's inability to write her off is what keeps the team from simply killing her.

One scene as Peter's lawyer, and one very fast hand for a brick thrown through the window.

Establishes that Banner has a son, Skaar, on Sakaar; that Abomination is on supervised release; and features Daredevil in the yellow suit.

A flashback fight in New York, where Maya takes his baton off him.

Matt abandons the mask and returns to law. A serial killer called Muse forces Matt back into the suit. Bullseye tries to assassinate Fisk at a political gala and Matt intercepts.

Matt and Karen are fugitives; Matt has assembled a resistance and sinks Fisk's weapons freighter, the Northern Star. Heather Glenn, Matt's former partner, has fully joined Fisk's administration. Matt reveals himself as Daredevil on live broadcast to testify about the Northern Star.
