Echo

Echo (SERIES, 2024) — Maya Lopez returns to Oklahoma and her Choctaw family after shooting Kingpin. She connects to ancestral power passed through her maternal line and confronts Fisk, who genuinely loved her as a daughter. Relevance: bridges Fisk from Hawkeye into Born Again.

The power Maya connects to runs through her maternal line back to Chafa, the first Choctaw ancestor to emerge from the Mississippi mound — the show gives each ancestor a distinct gift, and Maya inherits all of them at once. Kingpin's claim on her is emotional rather than criminal: he raised her after her father's death, which he arranged.
